At least 6,800 delegates are anticipated to elect the subsequent nationwide management of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday in Abuja.
Chairman of the Media Subcommittee for the National Convention Planning Committee, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, said this on Thursday.
The governor made this identified after the committee members inspected the Eagle Square, venue of the conference.
“We are very happy about all the preparations, everything is in place, you can see what we call a very professional arrangement for tomorrow,” he stated.
He insinuated that some aspirants might drop from the race earlier than the conference.
“Politics is about conflict and resolution, today we are meeting the aspirants to interview them, there will be a give and take so that it will be a smooth operation on Saturday,” he stated.
On his half, former governor of Zamfara Sen. Ahmed Yarima stated the committee had begun the screening and accreditation of delegates from the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory.
Yarima is the Chairman of the Convention Subcommittee for Accreditation.
He assured that delegates could be correctly scrutinised earlier than coming into the conference venue.
