Azealia Banks has suffered a miscarriage.

The 25-year-old rapper took to her Facebook page on Tuesday to announce the tragic news with her fans and admitted she feels ‘confused and guilty.’

She also said she is in ‘shock’ over what has happened.

The 212 hit-maker decided to tell her followers her sad news because she wants to know if other people who have lost a baby felt like a ‘failure’ like she does right now in the wake of the miscarriage.

‘Confused and guilty’: Azealia Banks, 25, suffered a miscarriage and announced the devastating news with a heartbreaking Facebook post on Tuesday

Her emotional post read: ‘So I’ve just had a really major life event happen and I want to talk about it because this wouldn’t be an Azealia Banks page without loads of oversharing right?’

‘Anywho, I’ve just had a miscarriage and am pretty taken aback by it all and really confused and in shock and guilty and a bit depressed and like a failure and very ashamed,’ she continued.

She asked her fans: ‘Has anyone else had this same experience who cares to share some words of wisdom or words of anything regarding this topic.’

‘The self-loathing bit is a real struggle for me at the moment so share any words here, They will be greatly appreciated. Thanks (sic)’

Azealia’s post prompted an outpouring of condolences from her fans all urging her not to blame herself for what has happened.

One fan posted in support: ‘Your not a failure! Its normal to feel these emotions after a traumatic event i felt the same after mine. Its hard to believe right now but it does get easier over time. You never get over it but its easier to live with. You grieve how you need to and remember it wasn’t your fault and your not a failure. (sic)’

While another follower responded by saying: ‘Omg I hope you recover soon and get some rest and relaxation. Take time to process what just happened. Try not to stress it. (sic)’
