A Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna has remanded a former governor of Kaduna state, Mukhtar Yero, and three others in jail.
Justice Mohammed Shuaibu gave the remand order on Thursday, following the arraignment of the defendants by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Yero and the opposite defendants have been charged with 4 counts bordering on cash laundering, felony conspiracy, misappropriation of public fund, and breach of belief.
Others charged alongside the previous governor are a former Minister of State for Power, Nuhu Wya; a former Secretary to Kaduna State authorities, Hamza Ishaq; and a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna, Haruna Gaya.
They, nonetheless, pleaded not responsible to the costs once they have been learn to them.
Meanwhile, some purported supporters of the embattled former governor have protested in opposition to the ruling of the courtroom.
They gathered in entrance of the courtroom premises in solidarity with Yero whom they claimed was harmless of all of the allegations levelled in opposition to him.
