MANCHESTER ARENA BLAST: 22 confirmed dead, Trump reacts

59 others have been confirmed injured in the attack.

At least 22 concert goers, mostly children, have been confirmed dead after a bomb went off at the Manchester Arena stadium late Monday night.

The incident occurred shortly after a show by American singer Ariana Grande.

There was panic as Grande’s audience of youthful fans fled the 21,000-capacity venue late Monday after what eyewitnesses described as an explosion in the foyer area at the end of the concert.

The victims have said there were thrown by the blast, which scattered nuts and bolts across the floor and told of seeing smoke and smelling burning in the foyer area.

About 59 others have been confirmed injured in the attack.

The attacker died in the blast, but police are still investigating if he was acting alone or belonged to a group of terrorists.

A large cordon remains in place around the arena which was evacuated during the incident and remains closed, while forensic investigators gather evidence.

US President, Donald Trump, has called terrorists “evil losers” in his reaction to the attack.

Search for more victims of the blast is still ongoing.

About fifty nine others are confirmed bruised within the attack.

The attacker died in the blast, however police are still investigating if he was acting alone or belonged to a group of terrorists.

A large cordon remains in place round the arena that was evacuated throughout the incident and remains closed, while forensic investigators gather proof.
