The Southeast stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have endorsed the retention of nationwide officers representing the zone on the party’s National Working Committee.
This was made recognized by former Abia state governor Orji Uzor Kali after an assembly of the party chieftains on Thursday in Abuja.
He mentioned, “We had a very profitable fruitful assembly and have determined to endorse by affirmation from all of the states, the return, via democratic technique of the three members occupying nationwide places of work.
“They are the National Organising Secretary, Sen. Osita Izunaso, the National Vice Chairman, Emma Enukwu and the National Auditor, Chief George Moghalu.
“We have equally secured the help of the National Convention Committee Chairman who can be the Governor of Jigawa state.
“We have told him that they are our candidates and we did it through democratic arrangements.”
Kalu mentioned whereas few folks could also be unhappy with the choice, about 93 per cent of the stakeholders agreed to it.
Minister of Science and Technology Ogbonnaya Onu, whereas talking on the event, stated that although the Governor of Imo couldn’t make it to the assembly, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly attended.
“We are all working together to continue to lift the country as one and to ensure massive improvement in the region and the country at large,” he mentioned.
