Member representing Mubi south, APC, in the Adamawa state House Assembly, Abduramam Abubakar, who was suspended from the House last year November for a period of three months has apologies to the House for his actions.
Abubakar, who had already served his three months suspension which elapsed last week, attracted the anger of the House for improper dressing and addressing the press where he criticized the House approval of virement for the executive in 2015 budget.
Abubakar had dragged the house to court over his suspension but the court struck out the case for lack of jurisdiction.
Abubakar stated.in a statement that made available to newsmen in Yola, stated.he had learnt his lesson and would never go against the House again.
“I hereby wish to formally tender my apology to the Speaker, Hon Kabiru Mijinyawa, leadership and entire hounourable members of Adamawa state House of Assembly.
“My sincere unreserved apology goes to the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, His Excellency, Sen Mohammadu Jibrilla, the leadership and members of our great party, the APC and my constituents for what happened and to state categorically that I hold no grudge against anyone.
“I believe in the fact that the best teacher is one’s last mistake. I accepted my mistake and promised that such incident will not happen again.” Abubakar stated.
Meanwhile, the House Chief Whip and chairman House Committee on Information, Mr Hassan Barguma, stated.that the house would look at Abubakar’s apology and take a decision on whether to accept it or not.
