One person has died after a suicider's bomb went off in Benisheikh, a village of about 75 kilometers from Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, Channels TV reports.
The TV channel also quoted authorities of the General Hospital in Maiduguri as saying 37 people also sustained injuries as a result of the blast.
They are currently receiving treatment, while the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack at the moment but the dreaded Boko Haram which has engaged in similar act overtime is suspected to be behind it.
Borno has been the bane of insurgence just as it has risen over the years.
