With the wraps coming off the new E-Class in Detroit earlier this month, Mercedes-Benz can now focus on the development of other vehicles, like the GLC Coupe and the updated CLA.

While the previous is a new model to go up against the BMW X4, the latter will get a mid-life facelift with minor revisions on the outside, including optional full LED headlights instead of the current bi-xenon ones, an update already received by the facelifted A-Class.

Inside, the CLA Shooting Brake is believed to carry an optional larger screen for the upgraded infotainment system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, revamped seats, new trims and colors and improved materials.

Engines should be upgraded too, however, it's not known so far whether Mercedes will add the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder entry-level from the A160 to the CLA too, however, one thing is for sure, the most powerful mill, the 2.0-liter turbo, will maintain its output to 376hp (381PS) and 350lb-ft (475Nm).

Mercedes hasn’t announced a reveal date for the facelifted CLA and CLA Shooting Brake, however, rumor has it that both will might be presented at the Geneva motor show in early March.
