Fresh off its world debut at the Detroit Auto Show, the new E-Class has just been priced by Mercedes in its home market.

The all-new 2017 E-Class will start at €45,303 in Germany ($49,436).

For that money, customers will get the entry-level E 200 with a 2.0-liter petrol turbocharged four-cylinder engine and the optional 9G-automatic transmission. Pricing details of the 6-speed manual haven't been released.

Concerning the most affordable diesel model, it takes the shape of the E 220d with a nine-speed auto and costing at least €47,124. In June, sales of the E 350d will start from €55,602.

US pricing or line up are not available at this stage, however, it is reported that the new E-Class will be available with more engines than ever. One of the new models will be the Mercedes-AMG E43, installed with a turbocharged six-cylinder with 402 hp.

A more traditional V8-powered E63 AMG model will also be offered with upwards of 600 hp on tap.
