Volvo had told us toΒ wait until February 18 for the reveal of their all-new V90, but apparently, the internet had other plans, as the first official images of the luxury estate have surfaced.
Based onΒ the new S90 sedan, the V90 adopts a similar rear end styling toΒ Volvoβs Concept Estate modelΒ from the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, with distinctive βLβ shaped rear lights that extend to the carβs roof, along with a slanted rear window that give it a less boxy look than the V70 it essentially replaces.
From the B-column and forward, it retains the same design with theΒ S90 sedan from whichΒ it borrows its powertrain lineup that should include the 407hp (413PS) T8 βTwin Engineβ plug-in hybrid and 320hp (325PS) 2.0-liter turbo petrol, and the 2.0-liter 190hp (193PS) D4 and 235hp (238PS) D5 diesel engines.
Volvoβs new load-lugger will be displayed in public for the first time at next monthβs Geneva Auto Show, possibly making it to the New York Auto Show a few weeks later for its North American premiere.
