Twenty eight ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from May 9 to May 26.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication – `Shipping Position’, – a copy of which was made available to the NANon Monday in Lagos.

NPA explained that the expected ships contained buck wheat, bulk sugar, general cargoes, crude palm olein, bulk charcoal, bulk gypsum, kerosene, bulk salt, containers, diesel and petrol.

The document noted that eight ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with petrol, ethanol and aviation fuel.

reports that 19 other ships are at the ports discharging general cargoes, bulk wheat, containers, frozen fish, bulk sugar, diesel and petrol.
