Based on the Ram 2500, the Power Wagon is Ram's answer to Ford's F-150 Raptor and by the looks of things, it means plenty of business.

Ram fans do need to get excited over this truck, seen as how Chevrolet isn't throwing their name in the ring any time soon when it comes to ridiculously powerful trucks. The V8 Silverado is still short of what the Power Wagon and the Raptor can do on paper.

Of course, Ram needs to boost sales-wise as well, since they trailed both Chevy and Ford all of the previous year, selling roughly 330,000 units to the Silverado's overall 440,900 and the F-Series' 564,450.

The Ram Power Wagon is packing a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 unit, good for 410 HP and 429 lb-ft (581 Nm), which should still fall short of the F-150 Raptor while remaining within that same ballpark. The 2017 Raptor is said to eclipse the current 6.2-liter V8's 411 HP and 434 lb-ft (588 Nm) of torque, meaning the Ram might still be fighting an uphill battle.

However, at least it will be fighting it, unlike Chevrolet or GMC who are still staying well under 400 horses when it comes to their V8-powered Silverado and Sierra respectively.

Where the Ram Power Wagon might be dropping a few points is in the looks department. It's a specific appearance that seems to be more of an acquired taste rather than something most people would fall in love with - as opposed to the F-150 Raptor.
