Despite the English transfer window *slamming* shut at 5pm on Thursday evening, those on the continent still have the ability to add to their squads for the upcoming campaign until the end of August - meaning, if you thought we were done with transfer rumours, you were sadly mistaken.
The ability for those in Europe to continue strengthening opens the door for a whole host of possibilities, including players playing in English football still leaving their current post to ply their trade abroad.
So, ahead of the 20 days which will undoubtedly prove the early closing of the window was nothing short of senseless, let's take a look at six Premier League players who may find pastures new in the coming weeks.
1. Tiemoue Bakayoko - Chelsea to AC Milan
Although Tiemoue Bakayoko only finalised his switch to Chelsea 12 months ago, following a somewhat underwhelming debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, the 23-year-old finds himself way down Maurizio Sarri's pecking order as the Italian prepares for his first term in English football.
With the likes of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, N'Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Danny Drinkwater all ahead of Frenchman, and, according to the Evening Standard, AC Milan's reported year-long loan with a £31.5m option to buy offer, the former Monaco man's stint at the Blues may well be coming to an end.
2. Danny Rose - Tottenham to Schalke or PSG
Staying in London, and in arguably one of the more bizarre transfer rumours of the summer, Tottenham Hotspur left back Danny Rose could be planning to swap the Premier League for the Bundesliga, with Champions League outfit Schalke said to be interested.
The England defender has made no efforts to hide his unhappiness at Spurs over the past year or so, and following a proposed move to Manchester United failing to materialise, the continent could be an escape for the 28-year-old - much like Joe Hart and Torino in 2016.
The Sun claims the German club have already tabled a 12-month loan offer; however, Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest - with the Yorkshireman now keen on holding out for the latter.
3. Simon Mignolet - Liverpool to Napoli
Following the arrival of AS Roma stopper Alisson Becker, Simon Mignolet now sits third in Jurgen Klopp's goalkeeping plans - with Champions League final villain Loris Karius seemingly keeping his place in Liverpool's squad for the upcoming term.
The 30-year-old has found it difficult at times to secure minutes since the arrival of the German, but with Brazil's number one now also in the frame, the Belgium international will be forced to look elsewhere for first-team football.
The Daily Mail have labelled Napoli as the side who are showing most interest at this present moment, although both Besiktas and Barcelona have reportedly also enquired.
4. Matteo Darmian - Manchester United to Inter
A rumoured switch that has rumbled on as much as Jose Mourinho's whinging is Matteo Darmian's proposed move away from Manchester United this summer, with Inter reportedly the most interested party.
The Mirror reported in mid-July that the Serie A giants had already tabled a loan offer for the cast aside defender, and with the Red Devils not initially handing the player a squad number before the full back was hastily added to the list as an afterthought, at least a 12-month loan exit looks likely.
5. Yannick Bolasie - Everton to Galatasaray
Despite failing to force through a move in England on Thursday, winger Yannick Bolasie could still be lining up an exit from Everton this summer, with Super Lig side Galatasaray expected to secure the wide man on a season-long loan.
According to former player Baris Ozbek, who was speaking to Turkish Football, a deal is likely to be struck, with Ozbek stating: “I have been told Galatasaray are serious about signing Bolasie. He is likely to join on loan. The probability is very high.”
6. Divock Origi - Liverpool to Fenerbahce or Valencia
And finally, staying in Turkey, Liverpool's Divock Origi could also be fleeing Merseyside before the end of the month in search for pastures new with Fenerbahce still locked in talks with both the club and player's representatives.
According to Turkish Football, ideally, the Super Lig outfit would prefer a year-long loan move for the attacker, although would be open to a permanent switch if the Reds were to lower their price tag - which, according to The Mirror, currently stands at £26m.
However, La Liga side Valencia are also showing interest in the highly-rated Anfield misfit, but a formal offer is yet to be made.
