Liverpool secured the signing of Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri on Friday night for a rumoured £13.5m which won't be the most exciting signing that the Reds will make this summer, and one that's certainly divided opinion.
The Swiss forward was relegated with the Potters last season with eight goals and seven assists to his name, and the Kosovo-born 26-year-old wanted to keep plying his trade in the Premier League, and Jurgen Klopp came calling in what he described as a "no-brainer" of a signing.
Liverpool fans are 50-50 about Shaqiri's arrival on Merseyside. The main factor in the argument against him is that he doesn't bring much excitement to the side, while others believe he will bring strength in depth to the Reds that they have been lacking in recent years.
Players have come and gone from the Premier League over the years that have lacked excitement but no doubt stole the hearts and minds of many fans across the country.
Here are six players that Xherdan Shaqiri will look to have similar impact as the following players.
6. Willian - Chelsea
The Brazilian winger joined Chelsea in in the summer of 2013 from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala and while Jose Mourinho was really pleased with the player's capabilities creatively and his agility in wide areas, not many Chelsea fans were that interested as they already had Eden Hazard in the side.
Willian's talent shone right through Stamford Bridge as he quickly became a regular starter in central London and has scored 25 goals and contributed with 22 assists, winning the hearts of the Chelsea faithful and is always one of the first players on the Blues' team sheet.
5. Victor Moses - Chelsea
Having arrived from Wigan Athletic in 2012, the Nigerian played as a centre forward for the Latics before being converted to a winger for the Blues.
After several loans at the likes of Liverpool and Stoke City, Moses got his head down and worked hard to break into Chelsea's starting line-up, and at the age of 27, stands as one of the most underrated players in the Premier League.
4. Fabian Delph - Manchester City
Fresh out of the Leeds United academy, Manchester City were quick to move for the Yorkshireman and he turned out to be a key figure in their record breaking season last campaign.
Delph played a significant part as he found himself figuring at left back and put in a series of wonderful performances out wide, becoming an effective utility man at the Etihad Stadium.
3. Jamie Vardy - Leicester City
Jamie Vardy arrived from non-league side Fleetwood Town after scouts had been watching him for a long time and the Foxes took a gamble by bringing him to the King Power Stadium.
However, this may go down as one of the greatest transfers of all time in English football as the Englishman was a key figure in Leicester City's unbelievable title winning season in 2016, breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy's record by scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League games and netted 24 goals in total to give the Foxes their first league title ever.
2. Andy Robertson - Liverpool
Not many Liverpool fans were battering their eyelids when Andy Robertson moved from Hull City in 2017, as Jurgen Klopp looked to fix their issues at full-back at the time. Nobody expected for the 24-year-old to make the impact in quite the way that he did.
The Scotsman had a terrific season for the Reds and has now cemented his place in the Liverpool starting line-up after a series on consistent and strong box to box performances out on the left hand side for the Reds. Robertson is now a favourite on the Kop and will be looking to bring even more to the table.
1. Riyad Mahrez - Leicester
Brought in from French Ligue 2 side Le Harve, nobody took any notice when Riyad Mahrez signed for Leicester City in January 2014 while the Foxes were playing in the Championship.
But it was during the 2015/16 season when Mahrez bloomed. With a unique blend of flair and creativity, the Algerian winger made headlines across the globe with 17 goals as Claudio Ranieri guided Leicester City to an astonishing Premier League title. He claimed the PFA Player of the Year and CAF African Footballer of the Year in the same season.
