Former President Olusegun Obasanjo
Tundun Abiola, daughter of the late MKO Abiola, has claimed that ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo didn't get into workplace in 1999 by election, saying he was appointed.
The late Abiola’s daughter alleged that Obasanjo was made president by the then navy regime to compensate the individuals of the South-West area for the dying of her father.
Abiola was the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, which was annuled by the then Nigerian chief Gen. Ibrahim Babangida.
“Obasanjo was appointed the president, he was not elected president. We did not have any election in 1999, we had a coronation,” she stated throughout an interview on Rubin Minds on Channels Television.
