Tammy Abraham is aware that he is being coveted by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), despite him only making his England Under-21s debut in the past few months.

The 19-year-old is on loan from Chelsea at Bristol City and has scored an impressive 13 goals in his first 21 games in senior football which led up to a recent call-up at England youth level, where he scored a double.

Nigeria appear serious about their interest in one day seeing Abraham play for their national team but the youngster says that no decision is imminent and that he was proud to make his debut for the Young Lions.

"Yes, it is a massive achievement to play for England Under-21s," he told Goal. "You have to do your job for them on the pitch. The work I do at Bristol City makes me get that recognition to get into England. You just have to keep going and working hard."

Abraham's father is a friend of the president of the NFF and he is hopeful that he can convince the Bristol City striker to chose his family's country of birth, rather than his own.

"I have heard the same things really [about Nigeria]," Tammy added as he spoke on Alex Hunter and The Journey for EA SPORTS FIFA 17, "I just have to keep doing my job on the pitch.

"I just hope, wherever it is, that I am playing at the top international level, whoever that is for. It isn't time to make decisions at the moment."
