Former Presidential aide Reno Omokri has called on Minister of Information Lai Mohammed to stop “lying” while still in the holy month of Ramadan.

Omokri’s charge came in as a reply to Lai’s comment that President Muhammadu Buhari will easily ride to victory at the 2019 poll.

The minister based his remark on Buhari’s fulfillment of campaign promises.

“Our administration is so confident of re-election in 2019 because of what are being delivered in terms of infrastructure and social welfare,” Lai had said on Tuesday.

“The proper and easy ways you can get the electorate to vote for you are by keeping your promises to them, delivering on your promises and embarking on projects which touch their lives.”

However, the minister’s statement irked Omokri who took to his twitter page urging him to abstain from lies during Islam’s holy month.

“Lai Mohammed said Buhari’s re-election in 2019 will be easy because the APC has kept their campaign promises,” the former aide noted.

“Can someone remind Lai that he is meant to be fasting during Ramadan and that fasting is not just abstaining from food, it includes abstaining from lies! Lai, fear God!!!”
