Friends and associates of eminent, Prof. Godwin Sogolo yesterday, gathered in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to celebrate the nonagenarian for his contribution and achievements.
The event was a colloquium and book launch organised by the Department of Philosophy, University of Ibadan (UI) and his former students.
At the ceremony were seasoned academics including Emeritus Prof. Ayo Banjo, Prof. Adigun Agbaje and a former federal Permanent Secretary, Dr. Tunji Olaopa.
In his keynote address, former Vice Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe, paid glowing tributes to the emeritus professor for his sterling qualities.
