Nollywood thespian, Mercy Johnson-Okojie has reportedly signed off for the rest of this year.
A renowned Benin based movie director (name withheld) had cause to stammer while inviting her to participate in a movie recently. The telephone conversation between the actress and the director according to the latter’s account went thus:
Director: Is that Mercy Johnson?
A voice from the other end (stammered): No. She is busy. (a voice from the background at the other end): Who is that? Give me the phone.
Mercy Johnson: Who is this?
Director: I am … (the confused director stammered as he introduces himself).
Mercy Johnson: Ok, well done. What is the matter?
Director: Please, I am inviting you to be part of a production we are doing in two weeks time.
Mercy Johnson: I don’t think that will be possible as I have signed-off for the year. I am not participating in any more movies this year. You can call back around March next year.
An actor who was standing close to the director and was listening-in on the conversation almost fainted; reason being that he was yet to be involved in any movies production this year.
Famzn.com ealier reported that Mercy Johnson is pregnant again. This is most likely the reason for her signing off till March 2016.
