The Eredivisie outfit have been hit with the proposed charge after the KNVB judged they did not do enough to stop racist chants aimed towards the highly-rated Ajax midfielder
ADO Den Haag could be fined €10,000 after their supporters aimed racist chants towards Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer.
Bazoer was targeted by fans who made monkey noises during the Amsterdammers' 1-0 win over ADO in the Eredivisie on January 17.
The Dutch FA's (KNVB) independent prosecutor has proposed the charge after claiming ADO could have done more to prevent the chanting from taking place.
ADO have until 12:00 CET on March 14 to decide whether they accept the prosecutor's proposal, with €5,000 of the fine provisional with a one-year probationary period.
"The prosecutor investigated which measurements the club took to prevent racist chants, to stop them during the game and to track down the perpetrators after the match," read an official statement.
"The disciplinary committee has concluded ADO took sufficient measurements before the game and after the match. The fact that ADO tracked down 21 fans afterward who all got banned from the stadiums plays an important role in this decision.
"But ADO should have done more during the game to stop the racist chants and prevent them from recurring."
Bazoer, who has been linked with Manchester City and Arsenal, has been dubbed as one of the most promising young talents in world football.
