The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a former Governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam, over safety points within the state.
The former governor was arrested after the incumbent governor, Samuel Ortom, allegedly petitioned the DSS over the safety scenario within the state as he was allegedly planning to make it ungovernable.
A source near the governor who pleaded anonymity confirmed the arrest in addition to the petition to Channels Television on Thursday.
The DSS had arrested the previous governor in 2017, after it stated it uncovered a massive cache of arms and ammunition from a property allegedly belonging to him at quantity 44 Aguiyi Ironsi Way, Maitama-Abuja.
