Sergio Aguero has been tasked with leading Manchester City’s Project Pep this season as Guardiola arrives in the Premier League charged with taking the big-spending Citizens to the top of European football.
And the Argentina international has hit the ground running, scoring in each of his new coach’s first three competitive matches in a start so perfect it has shocked even Guardiola himself.

He bagged a brace in his side’s 4-1 Premier League victory over Stoke this past weekend, taking the evoSPEED to fourth in the INTERSPORT Football Boot Rankings for forwards in England’s top flight, ahead of Bojan Krkic’s Nike Magista in seventh place.

Bojan and Kun came boot-to-boot on Saturday and Aguero came out on top. He was less involved in his team’s overall play, with Bojan completing 50% more passes than the Argentine. But by the time Bojan’s Magistas had any real say on the contest, Aguero had already all but settled it.
Aguero missed two penalties in Romania in midweek, but made no mistake after half-an-hour this past weekend, slamming home from spot with one of this three shots on target. Less than ten minutes later he doubled his side’s lead, leaping from his evoSPEED’s to head into the corner.
Bojan and his Magistas had their own chance from 12 yards just two minutes after the break and the former Barcelona man was able to to half City’s lead, but it wouldn’t be enough.
Nolito rounded off victory, putting another pair of evoSPEED’s to good use, scoring twice to seal all three points and increase the evoSPEED’s overall rating 8.8/10 across all positions in Europe’s top leagues.
That score has them two places above the Magista, which will need some inspired performances from the likes of Mario Gotze of Bayern Munich and Celta Vigo’s Iago Aspas to claw back the difference.
The Nike Mercurial still leads the rankings overall with a perfect 10, coming out on top in goals, assists and 1vs1 duels.
