Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar has revealed that killings in the northern state of Zamfara are being funded by politicians in Nigeria.
Abubakar made the revelation over the weekend at the commissioning of the Small Arms Shooting Range and Personnel quarters at the Air Force Base.
As stated by him, “Some of these groups are being funded, supported and encouraged by certain unpatriotic Nigerians for self-centered political interests.”
He added that air operations in Zamfara and other areas were being carefully organized, as personnel and assets would soon be deployed to support the “Operation Sharan Daji.”
Furthermore, he noted that the NAF had deployed about 1,000 special forces and supported other security agencies against threats.
This is as 12 super aircraft are also expected from the United States.
