Barely 16 months after the launch of its regional flight companies, Air Peace has emerged the best airline in West Africa.
The airline received the Balafon Award for Best Airline of the Year in West Africa 2018, on the opening session of the 4th Accra Weizo, held in Accra, Ghana lately.
Air Peace launched its first regional service to Accra on February 16, 2017. It added Freetown in Sierra Leone, Banjul in The Gambia and Dakar, Senegal, to its regional route community a 12 months after on February 19, 2018.
Organiser of the 4th Accra Weizo, Ikechi Uko, stated Air Peace emerged winner of the Balafon Award due to the effectivity it had dropped at bear on its regional operations. The Balafon Awards was instituted by ATQ News in 2009 to recognise people and organizations who've distinguished themselves in aviation, journey and tourism in West Africa.
Presenting the award, Uko stated: “This award recognises you (Air Peace) because the Best Airline of the Year in West Africa 2018 in your excellent actions in sustaining purposeful and environment friendly operations with expansions in West Africa, thereby including worth to the aviation and journey business as your airways continues to thrive in turning into a domit face throughout West Africa.
“With growing routes in several countries in West Africa, Air Peace Airlines is playing a significant role in not only driving the aviation, travel and tourism agenda of your organization and country and catalysing the growth of tourism in the sub region, but also helping forge ties between countries in West Africa and Africa with a view to enhancing regional tourism,” Uko stated.
Air Peace Corporate Communications Manager, Chris Iwarah, stated the service was happy that its intervention in fixing the challenges of air journey on the West Coast of Africa was yielding optimistic outcomes.
The service, he stated, would deepen air connectivity in West Africa by launching its Monrovia service and linking it with its Accra, Abuja and Lagos operations within the subsequent few weeks.
He recommended Uko and his crew for recognising and rewarding benefit. He assured members of the flying public of higher air journey expertise in appreciation of their continued assist and loyalty to the Air Peace model.
