Award successful Senegalese singer Akon has revealed his plan to construct a metropolis that may take after the film, Black Panther’s metropolis, Wakanda in his native nation Senegal.
Akon who was talking at a panel titled Branding Africa: Blockchain, Entrepreneurship and Empowering the Future on the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, disclosed his mission which is a proposed metropolis named after him Akon Crypto City.
The metropolis shall be near Dakar, Senegal’s capital and may have universities, colleges, stadium, properties and developed know-how as seen within the movie.
It will even have its personal foreign money named AKoin, a cryptocurrency which he stated has the potential of being “the saviour of Africa in many ways”.
To actualize this dream, the Senegalese President Macky Sall has supported Akon’s dream by giving Akon 2,000 square-acres of land.
