Alex Rodriguez is not in the Yankees’ starting lineup for Tuesday night’s game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
The Yankees begin a three-game set with their AL East rivals tonight.
On Sunday, Rodriguez and the Yankees announced this last game will be this Friday at Yankee Stadium against the Tampa Bay Rays. After that, the 41-year-old Rodriguez will be unconditionally released then sign a contract to “serve as a special advisor and instructor,” according to the team.
