With only 12,488 units ever produced between 2006 and 2010, the Spider was far from the commercial success Alfa hoped for.

In spite of falling short on a number of aspects, one thing it got right was Giugiaro and Pininfarina’s exterior design.

Improving on it is not easy. As a matter of fact, it's more likely to ruin the Spider's elegance by adding body kits, rear wings or what-have-you.

Vilner is, apparently, came to the same conclusion. That's why he did not tinker with the bodywork at all for its Fibra de Carbono Rosso project.

Instead, the Bulgarian tuner chose to improve the interior. It created a special carbon composite, mixed with kevlar, which seems to pervade the color of the exterior surfaces and was applied on several of the cockpit’s details. Almost every inch of the cabin was upgraded, from the steering wheel to the upholstered leather seats, which include contrasting white stitching and the 3D net", a porous structure that provides ventilation on hot summer days.

The attention to detail put in the this project is commendable, as even the seatbelts were uprated to match the new Vilner Milano Rosso exterior hue.
