Ambode Denies Kidnap Attempt On Mother

Lagos State Government has described as untrue reports of an attempted kidnap attack on the governor’s mother, Mrs. Christiana Ambode, in her Gbagada home, noting that the report was not an accurate reflection of what transpired at the residence.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, Ambode explained that the incident was a minor scuffle between security details at the residence and a military personnel, who parked his car in front of the house.

An online newspaper had claimed that heavily armed gunmen invaded the governor’s mother’s residence at about 7:30pm and disarmed the octogenarian’s police detail in an apparent attempt to abduct her.
