The National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Renaissance has dismissed stories that the Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, (Mama Taraba) was tear-gassed and denied entry to the party’s secretariat.
In an assertion by its nationwide secretary, Collins Edwin, the group mentioned neither Mama Taraba nor any minister within the President Muhammadu Buhari authorities was tear-gassed.
The group mentioned: “The Minister is a loyal party member and was not concerned in any form of protest or disorderliness on the party secretariat on Monday and so we marvel how the purveyors of such hallucinating tales took place with their junk report.
“We therefore urge journalists and editors of the various news organizations to always cross check their facts before publishing their stories to the reading public so as to avoid overheating the polity as we draw closer to 2019.”
