The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has chided Governor Ayodele Fayose over his allegation that the party plans to recruit the scholars of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), to rig the July 14 governorship election in its favour.

The party denied the governor’s allegation that it has colluded with the Vice Chancellor of FUOYE, Professor Kayode Soremekun, to rig the election.

Fayose had on state media alleged that the vice-chancellor held an assembly with the governorship candidate of the APC, Dr Kayode Fayemi, the place the duo perfected methods to recruit FUOYE college students to work as presiding officers to assist APC rig the ballot.

In an assertion on Saturday, the state’s Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, stated the party was not shocked by that “spurious allegation”.

He stated Fayose’s present allegation was just like his earlier blackmail of the Professor when the governor alleged throughout Ondo State governorship election that INEC had plotted to make use of Soremekun to announce a pretend outcome declaring APC’s candidate, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, because the winner.

“This will not be the primary time that Fayose would blackmail Prof Soremekun of a plot to assist the APC win election.

“Fayose did it throughout Ondo State governorship election when he took to the media to accuse the professor of conspiracy to assist announce a pretend lead to favour of the APC even when the harmless Professor was not wherever close to Nigeria on the time.

“Fayose is jittery and apprehensive after alleged studies of his unlawful actions to coral INEC and corps members to assist him rig election turned public data.
