Benue State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Samuel Ortom is in early lead from the results trickling in from polling units across the state.
At the Government House polling unit, Ortom scored 145 votes to beat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) opponent, Terhemen Tarzoor who polled 119 votes.
Annunne Market Square Polling Unit in Tarka Local Government Area: APC324 votes, PDP14 votes.
Ankpa Ward Polling Unit (an area where Tarzoor grew up): APC150, PDP152
