The army says it has intercepted a truckload of stolen cows at Nyabai village in Taraba state.
The cows numbering 52 were said to be rustled from Lau Local Government Area, following the crisis that engulfed the area recently.
According to the army, the cows have been handed over to the police for further investigation and for identification by the owners.
In a telephone interview with the Police Public Relations Officer, David Misal, said he is yet to receive any report regarding the interception of the stolen cows and the handing over by the military.
The cows have, however, been moved to the dairy farm of the state government for proper upkeep, pending when the owners will come to claim them.
