The Nigerian Army and members of the vigilante group in Adamawa have repelled an assault by Boko Haram on Kaya village in Madagali Local Government Area of the state.

Boko Haram terrorists attacked the group at about 9:00 pm on Monday and burnt down 13 homes earlier than the army and vigilantes repelled them.

The Adamawa state Commissioner of Information, Ahmad Sajoh, who confirmed the assault to reporters says one Boko Haram member was killed and a vigilante member wounded.

Although the army has curtailed the actions of the insurgents in Adamawa, Madagali has continued to witness assaults.

These assaults have led to the lack of lives and destruction of properties with the terrorists believed to be searching for meals gadgets.

The Chairman of Madagali LGA, Mohammed Yusuf, who additionally confirmed the assault, referred to as for the deployment of extra safety personnel, particularly now that farming actions are choosing up. He warned that additional assaults could expose the communities with famine.
