Association Advocates Automatic Employment For Nurses To Stem Child Mortality

The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, has advocated automatic employment for qualified midwives ‎in the country to stem maternal and child mortality cases.

The President of the Association, Mrs Margaret Akinsola stated the policy will reduce the shortfall in maternal care being experienced in the country.

She called on the government to also look at the possibility of engaging retired nurses and midwives on contract basis to address the gap.
