Audi has kicked-off 2016 with record breaking deliveries throughout January.
The previous month, the German marque managed to deliver 143,150 cars globally, a 4 per cent spike over January 2015.
Deliveries increased significantly in Mexico by 9.8 per cent, up to 1,178 cars. Across Europe, 6.5 per cent more Audi models were delivered, totalling around 59,900 cars. Spain and Germany recorded 21.2 per cent and 10.2 per cent increases in deliveries respectively. In the United States, deliveries increased by 2.7 per cent to 11,850 units.
A key contributor to the rise in U.S. deliveries is the new Audi Q7 which only arrived at U.S. dealers the previous month. Already, deliveries of the new Q7 are 165.5 per cent higher than the previous-gen model were in January 2015.
Meanwhile with 54,402 deliveries, China isn't far off becoming Audi's largest market.
The new Q7 is also proving a hit in Europe and every month since its local introduction in June 2015, deliveries have at least doubled and in January 2016, nearly tripled to 3,150 examples.
