At the beginning of the Premier League campaign, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger promised the world that they would see an improved Alexis Sanchez .
The Christmas presents might just be getting tucked under the tree, but already the Chile international has proven the Frenchman correct.
Last term, Sanchez, 27, was involved in 17 goals in 30 Premier League outings, but in fashioning Theo Walcott’s sixth-minute opener against Manchester City on Sunday, the former Udinese and Barcelona star has already surpassed that tally.

His assist during Sunday’s match was his sixth of the campaign, while he has also found the net 12 times of his own accord, surpassing last term’s tally with 18 to date. Moreover, he has achieved this in little more than half the games he played last season, having turned out for the Gunners only 17 times in the league so far in 2016-17.
