The inexperienced left-back is likely to be tasked with stopping Angel Di Maria, with the injury sustained by John Terry against Newcastle prompting a back-line reshuffle

Chelsea head to Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening knowing the Champions League is their major focus for the remainder of the season.

A worst ever defence of a Premier League title has seen the club's chances of a return to Europe's elite competition rely on exercising their demons from last season, with Paris Saint-Germain running out winners on away goals this time last year.

Now Chelsea return to Paris without captain John Terry, who limped off against Newcastle United at the weekend, but remain unbeaten under interim manager Guus Hiddink. So how will the Dutchman shuffle his pack for the last-16 first-leg match?

BABA IN THE BACK LINE

John Terry fell awkwardly on his ankle after just 38 minutes of Saturday's 5-1 win over Newcastle at Stamford Bridge and was immediately replaced by the inexperienced Baba Rahman.

With the club captain not joining the travelling party due to "a little problem with his hamstring and a tendon in the hamstring area", Baba is again likely to be called upon on Tuesday.

The left-back's introduction at the weekend saw Cesar Azpilicueta move to right-back as Branislav Ivanovic partnered Gary Cahill at centre-back in a defensive shuffle to accommodate an inexperienced full-back and a third-choice man at the heart of the back line.

Kurt Zouma's six-month lay-off, along with Terry's knock, has forced Hiddink's to field a weakened back line, with Cahill losing his place to the Frenchman earlier in the season, and now face a team who have won 20 of their last 22 games in all competitions. January signing Matt Miazga is another option.

MIKEL MOVES BACK

Another option for Hiddink is John Obi Mikel moving to centre-back, allowing Branislav Ivanovic and Cesar Azpilicueta to remain in more familiar surroundings and leaving Baba Rahman on the bench and not tasked with stopping Angel Di Maria.

Hiddink has often turned to the Nigerian since taking the reigns at Stamford Bridge, with eight of the midfielder's 10 starts this season coming since the interim manager's appointment in December.

The Dutchman has praised Mikel's ability to bring balance to his team but may need to use the 28-year-old in a more defensive capacity, despite Nemanja Matic's suspension, and move him alongside Gary Cahill.

This could see youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek partner an improving Cesc Fabregas in a holding role as Mikel patrols from a deeper position. Alternatively, Hiddink could try something different altogether and use Mikel, Fabregas and Loftus-Cheek in a three-man midfield.

Further up the pitch Guus Hiddink has a more positive selection headache, with Oscar back in contention after being left out of the matchday squad on Saturday.

The Brazilian has featured in every game since Hiddink's appointment before missing the win over Newcastle through injury and is likely to move back into the No.10 role occupied by Willian on Saturday.

Pedro enjoyed his most impressive performance for Chelsea since arriving in the summer and could keep Eden Hazard out of the starting line-up on the left of Oscar, with Willian moving back to his usual role on the right.

WHAT ABOUT PSG?

Aside from the controversy over Serge Aurier's Periscope statements on Saturday evening, which the full-back has received an internal suspension for, Laurent Blanc has no major headaches. His squad is both injury and suspension free, save whispers that Javier Pastore might not be fully fit.

The only big decision is who replaces the dynamic Aurier? Gregory van der Wiel offers more of an attacking threat, yet Marquinhos is a more robust defender.

Marco Verratti is not ready for a full 90 minutes, but he is central to Blanc's system and will be asked to start in all likelihood. Meanwhile, Lucas Moura is almost certain to be preferred to Edinson Cavani, who is out of form and out of favour with the coach.
