Jordi Masip has hinted that the 2016/17 campaign could be his last season at Barcelona as he looks to get regular first-team football under his belt.

The 26-year-old shot-stopper joined the Catalan giants in 2004 and made 79 appearances for Barcelona B between 2008 and 2014.

He has since been promoted into the first-team squad but has found game time hard to come by having made just two appearances for the first team due to being third-choice goalkeeper behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Claudio Bravo.

And although Masip says it is a “dream” to be at Barcelona, he admits that his desire to play regularly could lead to him leaving the club when his contract expires next summer.

"I've always been happy at Barcelona, it's my dream to be at this club," Masip told reporters at England's St George's Park.

"I'm in my last year of my contract now so we will have to see what happens at the end of the season. We'll just have to wait and see.

"I want to play as much as I can. It's a decision for the manager so all I can do is work as hard as I can, training at my maximum and see if I get the opportunities."

Barcelona are currently training at St George's Park ahead of their International Champions Cup opener against Celtic in Dublin on Saturday.
