The deputy chairman of Bauchi State All Progressives Congress (APC) has been suspended by the party leadership. A letter conveying the suspension, which was issued by the state headquarters of the party, Hon. Shu’aibu Isma’il Rahama and made available to newsmen, disclosed that he was suspended over his alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
The letter reads in part: “This is to communicate the decision of the State Extended Exco, SEE, of the APC held at its secretariat on Sunday September 13.
"The said resolution is to the fact that the gravity of the allegations made against you resulting in forming a committee to investigate it at the last meeting was resolved that the fact finding committee will not have a free hand to investigate you while you are in office."
Urging the deputy chairman to cooperate with the committee to discharge its duties, the letter said that the deputy chairman was therefore suspended from his office until the report of the committee is received by the party discussed and decided.
Recall that the deputy chairman alongside one Harsanu Guyaba, the state APC treasurer were suspended from the party recently.
