Former Vice-President and 2019 presidential hopeful Atiku Abubakar has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti to just accept defeat in good religion if it loses the July 14 governorship election.
He made this recognized when he visited Governor Ayo Fayose in Ado Ekiti.
Atiku visited the governor with Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, former Senate President David Mark, former Kano State governor Ibrahim Shekarau, former governor of Ogun Gbenga Daniel, and Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe.
Atiku, a member of the primary opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was accompanied by members of the PDP Governorship Campaign Council.
“We are satisfied that the Peoples Democratic Party is prepared for this election,” he stated.
“We hope that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will settle for the result of the election.
“They must be democratic for the primary time.
”We have seen how democratic they're, however for the primary time in 2015, we now have the opposition party taking up from the ruling party, we count on them to do the identical.”
In his response, Fayose stated the PDP was prepared for the election, vowing that the individuals of the state would defend their votes.
