The University of Lagos was abuzz this morning as students shut down two of the University's exit gates in an early morning protest.
Based on what was gathered, the irate students began to gather by as early as 7am to protest what they called poor sanitary standards in their hostels thus leading to the invasion of bedbugs and mosquitoes in their hostels.
A student allegedly woke up during the night in Marere Hall screaming. His roommates said that bedbugs beyond count had swarmed his body and were feasting on him!!!
The protest led to a hectic traffic jam within and around the University Community. The school authorities are yet to release an official statement on this case.
