A couple of months after Bentley started the Bentayga assembly at its Crewe headquarters, an example was spotted out in the open.
Finished in a blue shade, it was described by Reddit user as "much larger than even a Q7", referring to the full-sized SUV produced by Audi with which the Bentayga shares the MLB-Evo platform.
Blaming the bad weather, the car spotter couldn’t take a higher quality picture of the world's most powerful SUV and he couldn’t even capture that imposing front end, however, the three "real-world" images are sufficient - for now.
The Bentayga development will not stop with the with the 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbo that's rated at 608PS (600hp) and 900Nm (663lb-ft) of torque, as the automaker plans to offer a diesel version, too (Bentley diehards, calm down please). The engine they have chosen remains a secret for the moment, however, reports indicate towards the 3.0-liter V6 TDI from the Audi RS5 TDI Competition Concept, equipped with an e-charger that should lift its output to approximately 430hp.
It is believed that the luxury SUV might get another bodywork, reportedly a four-door coupe-like with an even more potent W12 that'll be previewed by a concept at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.
