Results of Benue State governorship election have been collated for 22 local government areas out of 23 local government areas. With one to go, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr. Samuel Ortom is winning the governorship elections with over 91,000 votes ahead of his People's Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Terhemen Tarzoor.
APC has so far polled a total of 394,047 votes while the PDP has scored a total of 302,324 with a wide difference of 91,734 votes. The APC has won in 12 local government areas while the PDP won in 10 local governments. Results from Buruku was still being awaited at the time of filing this report.
For the House of Assembly election, the PDP has so far won 15 out of the 30 seats in the state House of Assembly while APC has wom 10 and the Labour Party won 1 seat just as 5 more results were still being awaited at the time of filing this report.
