Beyonce continues to add to her huge collection of awards.

On Saturday, the 35-year-old was in the early lead at Saturday's 48th annual NAACP Image Awards with five honors from the annual proceedings.

The Formation singer's stellar start kicked off Friday at a gala in which 45 winners were announced, as organizers are holding back nine more winners for the live broadcast on TV One.

The Houston native claimed honors in the categories for the outstanding female artist; outstanding song for Freedom; outstanding music video, for her clip for Formation and outstanding album for Lemonade.

Elsewhere, the Barry Jenkins drama Moonlight nearly matched the Grammy-winning mom-to-be with four victories, with Jenkins racking up wins for outstanding independent motion picture, writing and directing. Mahershala Ali, of Luke Cage and House of Cards fame, took home the honors for outstanding supporting actor.

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story garnered three wins: outstanding directing in a drama series for John Singleton for the episode The Race Card; outstanding actor in a television movie, limited-series or dramatic special for Courtney B. Vance; and outstanding television movie, limited-series or dramatic special.

Black-ish also took home a trio of honors for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series, for Laurence Fishburne; outstanding performance by a youth for Marsai Martin; and outstanding writing in a comedy series for Kenya Barris for the episode Hope. The show's star Anthony Anderson will host the proceedings for the fourth year in a row.

Other notable victors included Idris Elba for outstanding character voice-over performance for The Jungle Book; Maxwell for outstanding male artist; and Viola Davis for outstanding supporting actress in a motion picture for Fences.

The ceremonyto be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditoriumwas slated to air on TV One, with the red carpet proceedings slated for 7:30/6:30c and the show at 9/8c.
