The French coach believes the pressure on his side's European rivals in their domestic leagues hinders their chances of continental glory, giving the Ligue 1 team a lead
PSG coach Laurent Blanc believes their comfortable lead at the top of Ligue 1 boosts their Champions League bid, as he feels other European sides are too focused on domestic challenges.
Blanc's side are a staggering 22 points clear of second-placed Monaco in the league after suffering only their first defeat of the season away at Lyon last Sunday.
Conversely, five teams compete in a tight Premier League title race, Juventus lead Napoli by three points in Serie A, and Bayern Munich sit five points ahead of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga - whom they face on Saturday.
And the 50-year-old feels key battles in Europe's big leagues may work in PSG's favour as they prepare for the second-leg of their Champions League tie with Chelsea on Wednesday.
He said: "In the other leagues like in England, in order to speak about our opponents next week, I can tell you they are really focused on the championship - they will play with their best line-up.
"Look at Bayern Munich and all the big teams in Europe. They all face some key games at some point in their respective leagues.
"They do not underestimate their league, not like we do in France. Only because it's Paris and we are leading with lots of points at the top of the ranking table.
"I think that in France, the Champions League is much bigger now. We are looking for a club able to win it.
"Paris is one of them and now there is extra pressure around those Champions League games."
