The Nigerian Army has told motorists using the Maiduguri-Damaturu road to ignore false rumors that Boko Haram blocked a section of the road because it is far from the truth.
Reacting recently, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col Sagir Musa said there are no blockages on the Maiduguri-Damaturu road and it is free for everyone to use.
According to him, soldiers are even present for the safety of Nigerians.

He added that the road is in good and safe condition for the citizens.
His words, “Soldiers are on the road ensuring that Nigerians move safely. You saw the situation of the road on Friday. Nothing like that happened on that road”.
