Boko Haram fighters have killed a staff of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Borno state, Northeast Nigeria.
Spokesman for the agency Sani Datti said John Iliya was killed on Wednesday at Damasak town in Mobbar area of the state.
He said NEMA officials had been deployed in the area to facilitate the return of Iliya’s remains to his family.
Until his demise, Iliya was an excavator operator with the emergency agency and was attached to the military.
