French President, Francois Hollande, yesterday stated Boko Haram still remains a threat despite the successes recorded by the Nigerian government.
The French President who was in the country to join other regional and western leaders to ensure closer military cooperation and assistance in tackling the threat of terrorism stated this at the end of a bilateral talk with President Muhammad Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Commending the Nigerian military for impressively degrading the insurgent group, Hollande called on President Muhammadu Buhari not to relent over the fight against insurgency.
Hollande noted that fighting corruption and all forms of trafficking will weaken the “terrorist group that is feeding on the weaknesses of the global financial system.”
