The $80 LG K3 smartphone has been added to the no-contract cellular phone lineups of Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, offering a handset with a wide range of features at a budget price for cost-conscious consumers. The companies are the first U.S. carriers to launch the LG K3, which includes a 4.5-inch full wide VGA In-Plane Switching (IPS) touch-screen display, a Qualcomm 210 quad-core processor, front and rear cameras and more. The smartphone, which runs the Android Marshmallow 6.0 operating system, also works as a mobile hotspot on Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile accounts and can be used in Mexico with a Mexico calling plan, according to the companies. Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are divisions of the Sprint Prepaid Group and operate on Sprint's networks.
