The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has upheld the sack of Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike.
The ruling of the five-man panel of the Court affirmed the judgment of the election petitions tribunal which had earlier nullified Wike’s election.
EARLIER:
Issue number five and six has just been resolved against Wike as the Appeal Court upholds INEC’s use of card reader.
The court held that the use of card reader guarantees credible poll.
Issue number seven is being handled at the moment.
Governor Wike may not be having it good at the moment as the court had just resolved four out seven issues raised against him and in favour of Dakuku Peterside and the APC
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja is set to deliver judgment on the Rivers State governorship election held on April 11, 2015.
As at few minutes past 10am, the court resolved the 1st issue against Wike.
It is however on the second issue of whether the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress candidate is valid.
